Scie-Plas COMET single cell gel electrophoresis systems are designed specifically for single cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE), to detect and quantify DNA damage within individual cells following exposure to a genotoxic insult. Scie-Plas COMET assay systems are available in 4 different formats, designed to accommodate 10, 20, 40 and 80 standard microscope slides respectively.  An opaque ebony acrylic tank and lid provide excellent protection for techniques requiring light-sensitive stains or markers, whereas cooling ports allow each COMET assay system to be connected to the optional JULABO chiller so that slide temperature can be maintained at 4°C.
