Reversible, double-sided protection against beta and gamma radiation

Beta and Gamma duo-shields provide the convenience of 32P and 125I protection from one shield. They are made from 12mm lead acrylic fastened by 4 nylon pins to 10mm acrylic to form a combined shield with excellent optical properties. The problem of Bremsstrahlung generation from the lead acrylic is eliminated as virtually all Beta radiation is removed before the Beta particles (electrons) reach the lead acrylic layer. Featuring a curved base, duo-shields are compatible with the full range of Scie-Plas safety trays.
