Patented high-tensile strength acrylamide

Duracryl™ is a patented high-tensile strength acrylamide which is mechanically very strong and elastic. It also guarantees high quality band resolution and reproducibility.

The principal advantages of Duracryl™ over standard bis-acrylamide lie within the second dimension of 2-D electrophoresis, where proteins first fractionated by IEF are resolved by SDS-PAGE.   These include: -

1. a more robust second dimension gel, less susceptible to breakage;


2. resolution of more protein spots;


3. and sharper, tighter spots for proteins of lower molecular weight.
